Michele K. Marut

Michele K. Marut is a founding partner of Affanato Marut, LLC. Michele represents national and local insurance carriers along with self-insured employers in defense of workers’ compensation claims throughout the state of New Jersey. She also represents a number of municipal entities in workers’ compensation claims, as well as the Community College Insurance Pool. She also has experience representing various trucking companies in claims filed under owner/operator agreements though workers’ compensation policies and occupational accident policies with contract liability coverage.

Michele has significant trial experience involving all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation, including coverage issues, Motion for Medical and Temporary Benefits, nature and extent of permanency, total disability claims and cases involving the Second Injury Fund.
